Heather Benzenhoefer graduated Magna Cum Laude from South Texas College of Law. She received her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin.

Heather has extensive experience handling legal issues involving children. During law school, she worked for the County Attorneys Office at the Children's Assessment Center assisting in trials to terminate parental rights in child sexual abuse cases. She also advocated for abused and neglected children as an attorney ad litem in Pittsburgh, PA for KidsVoice and in Houston, TX for Children's Legal Services of Houston.

Heather is also experienced in divorce and custody cases. Before joining Myres, Dale & Associates, she worked for the family section at Fulbright & Jaworski. Since joining Myres, Dale & Associates, she has expanded her practice to include adoption law.

Heather is a Bergstrom Child Welfare Law Fellow and graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy – Family Law Trial Advocacy Program. She also works as a court appointed attorney on the S.T.A.R. (Success Through Addiction Recovery) Drug Court Team in the 247th District Court.

Heather is a member of the State Bar of Texas; American Bar Association – Family Law Section; Texas Bar Association – Family Law Section; Houston Bar Association – Family Law Section; Texas Young Lawyers Association; Houston Young Lawyers Association; Association of Women Attorneys; and Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
